JOB SUMMARY: The facilities manager will oversee all building and grounds maintenance for our company, to include existing facilities, remodels, and new construction. The manager will be responsible for ensuring all company facilities are safe, up to code, and fully operational, and will also be responsible for managing contractors, negotiating and managing leases, and working with third-party vendors.

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Fleet Operations

 

EQUIPMENT: Computer and printers; miscellaneous equipment used to maintain all aspects of properties, to include power tools, saws, ladders, etc.

  • Oversee the day-to-day delivery of facilities services for all Acadian Companies locations and manage business operations within budget
  • Manage all facilities planning, processes, policies and procedures (e.g. internal/external work orders, move-add-change requests, space planning, furniture changes, preventative maintenance, etc.)
  • Work with business units to align facilities with business goals and drivers
  • Manage and supervise all facilities personnel
  • Liaise with property managers, building engineers and security personnel for leased spaces
  • Manage all facility-related vendor contracts
  • Maintain and update contingency plans to provide facilities with rapid recovery from electrical or mechanical failures with minimal interruption to operations
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met
  • Ensure all utility systems are inspected and in accordance with regulations
  • Negotiate bids, contracts, and lease agreements
  • Manage maintenance of grounds
  • Prepare operating reports and budgets
  • Prepare and file reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permitting
  • Expected to travel on a regular basis to our company facilities

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalency and a minimum of 4 years facilities-related work experience required; bachelors degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or related field preferred;  certification in facilities management a plus.
  2. Experience or basic knowledge in trade skills - plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  3. Strong computer skills – Google and Microsoft products
