Additional Information 8:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday)

Acadian Client Services has an immediate opening in the Medicaid department for a full-time Resolution Specialist position at our Hopkins St. location in Lafayette, LA.  The hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday).


Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for processing, compiling, analyzing and managing the receivables for assigned payor type.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Conduct and manage research
  • Review and prepare appeals
  • Review claims for Federal compliance
  • Handles  inbound calls
  • Ensures accuracy of demographic information
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned



  • 5+  years of Medicare, Medicaid and/or Insurance Billing experience required, or Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of Billing experience including ICD-10 coding
  • Basic/Paramedic Clinical Experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills
  • Familiarity with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regulations (ambulance)
  • Ability to adhere to productivity goals and departmental guidelines
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and work independently
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Understands HIPAA and Red Flag guidelines
  • High school education or equivalent
